Our Story
Adidda Club was founded by a group of sports-loving friends who wanted to create a welcoming space for people to play Badminton and Cricket together. What started as informal get-togethers has grown into a thriving community club with members of all ages and backgrounds.
Early Days & Promotion
In 2016, Adidda Cricket Club was officially founded and quickly established itself within the local league circuit. By 2017, the club joined the Hunts Cricket League in Division 5. Through consistent performances and a dedicated team spirit, we achieved promotion almost every season, culminating in being crowned Division 3 Champions in 2019.
Continuing Success
As the club expanded, we formed a Sunday team that joined the Rutland Cricket League in 2023. They experienced immediate success, becoming champions in 2024, and now compete proudly in Division 3.
Today, our Saturday team competes in Division 1 of the Hunts Cricket League, and we continue to field competitive and welcoming teams across both Badminton and Cricket. Our name, Adidda, reflects our roots and our shared passion for sport.
Governance & Welfare
Adidda Cricket Club is fully affiliated with the ECB and maintains high standards of governance and player welfare. The club has designated safeguarding champions and qualified first aid providers, all of whom are DBS checked. Our captains and vice-captains are also DBS verified to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all.
